We are a Memphis-based commercial general contractor specializing in tenant improvements, renovations, office, industrial, restaurant, retail, religious, and school projects. This role is intentionally designed to grow into a Director, VP, or Executive leadership position as Collums scales from a $5M contractor to a $30M contractor. We hire slowly. Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage long-term relationships with:
- Property managers
- Commercial real estate brokers
- Building owners
- Corporate tenants
- Generate and protect a high-quality pipeline of TI and renovation projects
- Pursue the right work, not all work (protect margin and brand)
- Maintain precise pipeline tracking in Pipedrive CRM
- Conduct consistent relationship touchpoints and strategic meetings weekly
- Use Collums' Facilities Maintenance division as a relationship builder
- Coordinate clean handoffs to estimating and operations with no surprises
- Represent the Collums brand with professionalism and trust
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 or more years of B2B relationship-based sales experience
- Comfortable with commission-forward compensation
- Experience in commercial construction, CRE, property management, or facilities services
- Self-starter who does not require micromanagement
- Thick-skinned, construction-minded personality
- Long-term thinker who values work-life balance and personal hobbies
- Proficient with CRM systems (Salesforce, Pipedrive, HubSpot, etc.)
- Comfortable with Gmail, Google Drive, and technology tools
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to work locally in the Memphis area for in-person meetings and relationship development
Compensation & Benefits
Full-time, W-2 employment
Training Period (First 90 Days)
- $7,500/month recoverable training draw (up to $22,500 total)
- Draw is recovered from future earned commissions only; no out-of-pocket repayment
After Ramp (Month 4+)
- Base pay: $4,000/month ($48,000/year)
- Progressive commission paid on Recognized Gross Profit
- 7.0% on first $1.1M GP
- 9.0% on $1.1M-$1.43M GP
- 12.5% above $1.43M GP
On-Target Earnings Examples
- ~$5M sold ~$131,600 total earnings
- ~$6.5M sold ~$171,200 total earnings
- ~$8M sold ~$215,000 total earnings
